Looks Unfamiliar is a podcast in which writer and occasional broadcaster Tim Worthington talks to a guest about some of the things that they remember that nobody else ever seems to.
Joining Tim this time is musician Ricardo Autobahn, who’s studying radio signals from Melmac in the hope of finding any trace of Pull The Other One, the Pink Panther Bar, late seventies ‘Car Of Tomorrow’ the Panther 6, Hot Wheels Crack-Ups, ZX Spectrum game Explorer, Inside The Magic Rectangle by Victor Lewis-Smith, I Live In A Giant Mushroom by Eric The Gardener, sentient automobile horror movie The Car, The Sooty Show episode Fun Being Small and the long-lost genre of ‘Thunderclap Pop’. Along the way we’ll be debating how much boggling should appear in the opening titles of any self-respecting ITV sitcom, questioning why Richard Herring never has sports cars as guests on RHLSTP, trying to figure out how ‘Star Wars on land’ might work and vigorously disputing Pob’s influence on eighties chart pop.

Alternately, if you’re just feeling generous, you can buy me a coffee here. If they’ve finally synthesised some sort of Pink Panther Bar-flavoured syrup then that would not go amiss either
