This Way Up magazine have dug out a feature I did for them way back when looking at Series Three of ITV’s now seemingly forgotten Saturday Evening dinosaur-invasion adventure serial Primeval; so long ago, in fact, that I can’t find my original copy of it and no longer have any idea of what hilarious punning title I would have used for it (so I’ve ‘borrowed’ the one we used for Series Two instead). It actually stands up a lot better than I thought it would – as did Primeval itself when I recently rewatched it after a lucky charity shop find – so if you want to relive those heady days of Unstable Anomalies, Butterfly Effects and Ben Miller getting annoyed about paperwork, you can find it here.
You can find a review of Series Four of Primeval – the one that they made after ITV cancelled it and viewers basically told them to make some more or else – which I’m still very fond of in my anthology Well At Least It’s Free, alongside similar features on Lost, Life On Mars, Heroes and Doctor Who. You can get Well At Least It’s Free in paperback here or from the Kindle Store here.
